BTW, building a parklet is still expensive so consider contributing to the new version of Luna Rienne's #goodParklet at 22nd and Valencia, a real, public community space in the old sense of parklets and not enclosed restaurant seating. This is one of the few places you can sit down along Valencia without buying something. You also get cool prints from local artists as a perk for contributing. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/luna-rienne-gallery-x-chris-stokes-parklet--2/x/34561659
Cafe Seventy8’s parklet is warm, inviting and open, flanked by a bike corral and a bike rental station, with lots of folks pedaling by on the 29th St–Tiffany route. #goodParklet #goodParklets
Abanico Coffee Roasters on Mission St has this really basic parklet (on non-rainy days they put out wooden benches), but it totally does the job. Not showy but a #goodParklet in my book.
Btw the City could and should widen sidewalks for entire blocks this way, quickly and cheaply.
