As of 7 PM, 4 December (#BKK time) #IQAIR #AQI readings show #Bangkok, and #HCMCity w/relatively good #airquality. Nice to see readings like these during 'winter' months in #SoutheastAsia. Typically the time when #agricultural #biomass burning, and inversion events happen that lead to more #toxic regional air quality. The key is trying to find ways to make this a more common regional occurrence. #goodAQIsaveslives #ASEANsustainable

Early 2022 witnessed #UNEP recogn. for a #cleanair plan from #Cambodia stemming from the IGO's Actions on Air Quality report. The plan purportedly highlights the govt.'s willingness to work w/intl. agencies to reduce the country's #toxic #airpollution. With current/emerging evid. of cont'd major reliance on #coal pwrd electricity, and it's glaring lack of empirical methods to support #publicpolicy, this effort may need to be viewed w/some skepticism. #goodAQIsaveslives
