Lucky for me, I have a dog who needs walks twice a day, and when the pandemic started, I started walking to work (a bit more than an hour) instead of taking the crowded subway. This helped me shed about 8kg, plus it probably helped me get through Covid more easily when I finally caught it 3 years into the pandemic. I have averaged about 7,800 steps a day over the past year.
