Very relaxed day today, my last day off. Will go back to work tomorrow, but looking forward to it.

Since I kept going back and forth on whether to buy a Fiat 500e (electric) because our two-seater MG-F is getting too old to be used on a regular basis and because we really need a four-seater to have weekend trips with my MIL, I finally managed to go to the local car dealer and have a good look at the Fiat. It is imo the best electric car, with max 420km reach on one charge (realistically 300-350), small, nice, nothing too fancy. I got a nice quote and since I am freelancer/self-employed I can deduct VAT, which makes it net ~24,000 EUR, and I can write it off, so … yeah, I will probably buy it. Just need to wait for #LoveOfMyLife to come back and have a look herself. Then we can “convert” our two-seater roadster to be a summer car only

Anyway, so, it was a relaxed, nice day. With that, I bid you good night, my awesome #NewFriends and my cherished, beloved, adored #OldFriends of Fediverse. Lately I’ve been little tired already in the early evening. I am assuming it is due to my change of eating habits: I’ve decided to go vegetarian and am currently still on a great vegetable soup dietary path. It is going quite well and the vegetarian (not vegan) part is really doing wonders about my sleep quality (everything up).

No worries, though, since I am having a full blood test every 90 days, we see that my health is actually getting even better. And yes, I make sure I have a very balanced diet (no worries there).

Anyway, I actually was just searching for an “opener” for tonights #GoodNightFediverse.

What a lazy Sunday: coffee, breakfast at 12:30, watched “Castle in the Sky” (#GhibliStudios), watched the first three episodes of #Extrapolations, and did some work on #Cicero / #Ginlo_II (because I was bored). All in all, a lazy Sunday.

Now I must go to bed, I am tired. #Mimi / #CatWoman was extremely tiresome last night as she woke me up at least four or five times, so now off to bed.

Not really much to say today, except that it was a successful day wrt #Ginlo_II / #Cicero. Added some major enhancements and finally passed the 0.8.x. The next internal release will be 0.9.0, starting next week.

Also, with my other client: the dev team is really doing a great job there and I am limiting myself to only doing MR /code reviews and overall architectural guidance. The other devs are having fun and doing a fantastic job - and I believe that atm they actually enjoy me just doing code reviews for their code. So, all in all, we’re good there as well.

So, and with that I bid you good night, my wonderful #NewFriends and lovely #OldFriends of #Fediverse. A weird week finally ends with a not too bad Friday: #Ginlo_II/#Cicero is doing well. I am slowly preparing release 1.0.0, which needs to have support for all possible configurations that may come in the future. So, this version already respects settings for which there is no UI/UX, i.e., if that setting has a value (for whatever reason), Cicero will respect it.

This makes it possible to introduce new features without every user having to upgrade/update their client to have at least read-only (or: “respect-only”) for those features.

And on top, I have finally managed to have v0.8.3 (Internal) released to the team. Next are 0.8.4, 0.8.5 and then off to 0.9.0. So, 1.0.0 is really not that far anymore.

And on the other front (other client), things are coming along really, really well. More details on that next week.

With that, I wish my cherished #NewFriends and my adored #OldFriends a good night, sleep well and dream a little dream of sugarplums and… days of future past, when yesterday today was tomorrow and tomorrow today will be yesterday (Yesterday… all my troubles seemed so far away… 🎶)

Well, at least today we had two successes:
- Color-refreshed curls
- #Ginlo_II / #Cicero first real nice version that I am happy with

On the latter: there are so many nice features in it now that I am getting more and more excited about the release later this year. Amazing features nowhere to be found (I was kindly asked not to broadcast too many of those sexy, new features as, rightfully, marketing would like to have *some* secrets for launch 🤗)

Regardless: I am really happy that Cicero is going in the right direction - now, I just have to figure out why it increases the badge-counter by 2 instead of 1 when a new message arrives - but hey, this one is probably very easy to fix.

Also, there is this issue that the app is not launched when it was quit even though a new push notification arrived on iOS - I’ll need to check that tomorrow - I have a hunch that it has something to do with the time of day.

Aaaaanyway, long story short: good day, not great, but good.
