Earlier this year #GoogleDocs added the option to view non printing (aka hidden) characters. Better late than never, I guess, since Microsoft Word has had this option for decades.

Since I have to use G Docs in my work, this was the most exciting product update in years for me.

Now to just teach everyone else how to use it properly so I'm not the only person in my team doing all formatting error fixing...

Without dismissing the fear around #ChatGPT, it is still true that it's handy.

1) Type docs.new into your address bar.
2) In another tab, look up the Terms of Service for any site you have an account with.
3) In a third tab, open ChatGPT and announce you would like a short, one-sentence paraphrase of what you're about to sign up for.
4) Copy/paste each paragraph of #TOS into ChatGPT and save the summary in #GoogleDocs.

Now you know what you're agreeing to.

One of the best things to ever happen to Google Docs are Pageless Documents.

I wanted this feature for so long. It's been around for a while now, but I'm still thankful for this feature every time I open a new Google Doc.

It's wild that in 2023, #Gmail still doesn't synchronize your #email signature from #desktop to #Android, and Android Gmail doesn't allow signatures with pictures or links. In order to send an email with a rich signature on Android, one needs to format it in #GoogleDocs and then paste it into Gmail. Kind of insane when you think about it, especially when considering that #Microsoft #Outlook has had these features for years. #Google #EpicFail

Any users of #GoogleDocs notice some very odd spacing recently?
I've noticed something where it looks like spaces are missing or added in odd places, but when I try to correct the issue, it actually makes it worse. I've learned that if I refresh the page, it goes away, but they seem to start creeping back in possibly when the tab is open for a long time?
I don't know what to make of it!
