One of the ways in which the web is like an ecosystem is that a synthetic text spill in one part of it can leak into others. Here, someone has posted ChatGPT output (unclear to what end) and the Google indexed it.
I learned of this particular #GoogleFail via BlueSky user aviendha69's post:

... and verified that I could find the same results. (For now, anyway. Sometimes things things get patched.)
I found a really weird #bug with #GoogleCalander just now… I swiped down quite hard and now it’s going back in time very fast.
I stopped it in the 1600s however suspect it would have continued on for much longer…

Today I'm thankful that I have a new-ish OnePlus phone to set up as my primary device. This feels like a massive fail from Google, having a critical vulnerability being exploited on their current devices, with no option to disable the surface area, and no patch available.
Chatbot search is a terrible idea, especially in an era in which the web is likely to fill up with vast mountains of AI bullshit, the frozen gabble of stochastic parrots…
And yet, Google is going all-in on chatbots, with the company CEO ordering an all-hands scramble to cram chatbots into every part of the googleverse. Why on earth is the company racing Microsoft to see who can be first to leap off the peak of inflated expectations?

The Google virus, in the form of its playstore and services, has again hit: its "privacy feature" of removing permissions of unused apps has just removed again permissions from 7 apps. One is the calendar, which I use daily, and two other frequently used apps. No Google app, of course, since one needs to protect one's own apps. #googlefail
Um, no, @GoogleMaps. I am pretty sure that #ManassasBattlefieldPark is #notThatKindOfPark. No #seesaws.
And in answer to your subsequent questions, no, I don't believe it has either #swings or #tennisCourts either. Not that I have seen on any of my visits over several years. And no, it is not #insideAnotherBusiness.

The new raspberry pi imager is nice, but the resulting install, when you log in via ssh (even successfully) coughs up:
"Please note that SSH may not work until a valid user has been set up"
I'd like to remove the message, (because I just know it'll eventually confuse some automation), but I can't find it after grepping the entire pi file system and asking google.
Hence, my first question shouted into the mastoverse: Where does this message come from?
#ssh #raspberrypi #googlefail #linux
NotaBene : Android file transfer .dmg for OsX is a very high security risk app (like most Google code). Use only in sandbox mode. #segfault #googleFail
