Today's #GooglePhotosMemories!😲 Is it an #AmericanMastodon? Unfortunately, I didn't take a pic of the specimen label, but it looks similar to #mastodon images that came up in search.

This was from our last trip to #Tokyo before the pandemic (May 2019). My daughter loved the National #Museum of #Nature & #Science!

I was still on 🐦site back then and had never heard of "Mastodon Social" and obviously still don't remember what I studied in high school about ancient #mammals.

This location is at a highway service area (rest stop) in #Hiroshima. As you can see, there's a replica of #Miyajima torii (shrine gate) that leads to a park and scenic viewpoint above the Seto Inland Sea. It's less than 15 minutes from home, making it one of my favorite chill spots when the weather's nice.😍

Love the moat & guard tower at #Hiroshima Castle, and it's interesting how downtown #広島 has developed around it. I took this pic from the bleachers of an adjacent tennis court during my daughter's tournament. You can see modern high-rise condos in the background, plus there's construction (not shown) of a new 30,000 seat stadium for the city's J1 pro soccer team #SanfrecceHiroshima just a few blocks down the street.
