Here’s #Louisiana embarrassment Steve Scalise boasting in his weekly email to constituents about all the bills the majority GOP has passed. Setting aside the awful intent of most of those bills (promoting culture war, attacking human rights, reversing progressive policies), just note that almost everything they’ve passed is DOA in the Senate and will not become law. So if angrily shaking your fist at clouds is your ideal of representative government then Steve’s your guy! 🙄

We awoke to news on the radio of a failed hostage rescue attempt in Iran, and the Drill Sergeants advised us to take our training seriously since we might be next. This week’s email from Louisiana embarrassment Steve Scalise bemoans, “Energy costs have hit record highs with gas prices up 51% and household electricity prices up 24%.” Of course he fully blames Democrats and ignores that despite no shortage in oil supply, oil companies jacked up prices to obtain record profits. This is no secret to anyone since the oil producers and refiners gleefully reported profits to shareholders. But Scalise doesn’t care about facts.
