Mr. Snakeyy is back! #snake #GopherSnake

From a contact on the birdsite. 98% sure it's a gopher snake based on the head and no rattle. Rattlers have rattles, and they also have diamond shaped heads. Gopher snakes are good to have around, they eat rats and mice. Conejo Valley. #snake #GopherSnake

@pace180 I think our crazy ass neighbor has been killing snakes. Haven't seen our gopher snake in a while. Hope it's hibernating somewhere.

This young #RedShoulderedHawk found by a #GoodSamaritan was being attacked by a #GopherSnake (it most likely started the other way around). Through guidance over the 📞 the #brave finder was able to encourage the snake to release the hawk. After a full exam, no serious injuries. Here’s the little guy a few days later recovering from his traumatic experience. He did just fine & has been released back into the wild. He got a #SecondChance💚
