#Goretex stellt in Zusammenarbeit mit #Bionic, einem Anbieter für Textilien aus Post-Consumer Plastik, eine wasserdichte Membran aus Plastikmüll her.
Die findet Ihr dann ab Sommer'23 in Produkten von #Patagonia verbaut. Übrigens neben Produkten mit einer ebenfalls von Gore hergestellten, recyclebaren ePE-Membran (bisher bestehen Gore-Laminate aus ePTFE, auch bekannt als Teflon, welches nicht recyclebar ist).

Trying to find some waterproof boots /trail shoes that do not involve leather seems to mean #GoreTex liners ? Have now had 5 pairs of expensive reputable brand items, some shoes, some trail runners, some actual boots, all with GTX liners. 2 had already failed when I got them, the others remained waterproof for between a few weeks and 6 months. All failed prematurely. Used on unchallenging terrain, about 12k a day on average. Hopeless. Is it me ? #GoreTex, #waterproofing #walking #boots

I've made a #rainkilt or #rainskirt out of some leftover lightweight #goretex fabric. Packs down to nothing and keeps my core down to my knees dry and warm. Can put it on still moving and it turns my waterproof jacket into a long coat #gamechanger
