I hope someone can mod a #GOTEK with #FlashFloppy so that it can be installed in your #Macintosh and maybe have a smol USB-C connector so you don't have to casemod it, but just use one of those adaptors or double-ended USB sticks...

i know gotek can be setup and connected to the amstrad #cpc464

Question i, can the amiga gotek be used for the 464 without changing it everytime its swapped
I'd need different cables etc, and I'd hav 2 extend floppy connection from amiga to outside case. But its more the firmware i was thinking about

I got one of those GOTEK floppy emulators finally. It works well. Not as nice as a CoCoSDC but if you just want basic floppy emulation and a simple way to get .DSK's on to real hardware it's a good way to go. This youtube video is great at explaining from start to finish on how to set it up and everythink you need.

Thought I’d give my #Ensoniq #Mirage a convenience upgrade by swapping out the diy SD-card based HxC floppy emulator to a USB one.

Obvious fail: Having the dial and screen placed the other way around would work way better. As-is, operating the dial using left hand will block the display 💩

Is it possible to rotate OLED screen output with HxC, or perhaps better to swap out firmware to #FlashFloppy ? Any other solutions? #SynthDiy #Gotek

Made and printed my own enclosure (clips into the floppy port and grill part of the original Amiga case) to hold the oled and cables for the Gotek. Quite pleased with the result. Also has 'blongden' written in the front in raised lettering. Heh. #amiga #a1200 #retrocomputing #gotek #3dprinting

Floppy emulator success today; Now I'm getting ready to do the drain cleaner bath on the keys tomorrow.

Took all the keys off and found a broken black one, so it's parts order time again. And the keybed looks like crap! - This pic is after cleaning it up a lot. And I'd love to find a good replacement aftertouch strip.

Today on my XP-80 refurb project: Figuring out how to make a Gotek Floppy Emulator work on the XP.

I watched 5 or 6 videos about it, and gathered all the pertinent tech info I could find, and after some testing realized that I had to do it differently than any of those guys. The only mod I need with THIS Gotek and THIS XP-80 is a simple mom switch to interrupt the floppy S0-select line so the XP thinks the disk got switched. Now to that key glue

That's it! I am finally getting my ass into gear and backing up the #Amiga disks of my childhood. It's quite a lot. Most of them are games, which I will not copy. But many contain programs that I have written. Even some demos. Or things I wrote for school. Probably from around 1988 - 1992.

I am using #XCopyPro to copy the disks onto a #Gotek drive. I will then transfer them onto my PC for further "analysis".

That will probably take up most of the rest of the weekend.
