Ths statues around the entrance to the offices of the Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company in Govan. Sculpted by James Pittendrigh MacGillivary in 1890, they represent an Engineer on the left and a Shipwright on the right. Above these two are a pair of mermaids (not clearly visible from this angle) and the head of a Viking Sea God.

The ruined portico of Mansion House in Elder Park in Glasgow. Built in 1791, Mansion House was originally sited on the Linthouse Estate and was thought to be have been designed by Robert Adam. The house was demolished in 1921, but the portico was saved and reconstructed at its present location in Elder Park .

The entrance to the main office of the former Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company in Govan, Glasgow. It was designed by John Keppie and was built in 1891.

From left to right (on the building itself): Johannes Gutenberg, who introduced the movable type printing press to Europe; Robert Burns, Scotland's national poet; Mr and Mrs Cossar, who ran the Govan Press; Walter Scott, one of Scotland's first novelists; William Caxton, who introduced the first printing pressinto to Britain.

The former Govan Press building on Govan Road in Glasgow. Designed by Frank Stirrat and constructed in 1889, it was built for John Cossar Ltd, which published the Govan Chronicle and the Govan Press.
On the front of the building are relief sculptures of John Cossar and his wife (who ran the business for more than thirty years after he died in 1890) surrounded by notable figures from printing and literature (Johannes Gutenberg, Walter Scott, Robert Burns and William Caxton).

Window into the central hall of the three-storey brick prison block at the rear of the former Police Station and Municipal Buildings on Orkney Street in Govan. Built around the end of the 1800s, the block contained 40 cells.

The bell tower of Govan and Linthouse Parish Church. Designed in a Gothic style by Robert Baldie and built in 1873, the wooden belfry on this tower is a replacement for the original 150 spire.

The dragon on the side of the A-Listed Govan Old Parish Church seems to have suffered quite badly in recent years. The pipe through its back seems new (alhough there was evidence of previous damage here), along with the metal flashing on the top. There's also a rather unsympathetic repair to the face and (in my opinion) a poor choice of replacement downpipe.
