Vanaf 1994 vormt hij samen met #WarrenHaynes ook het zijproject #GovtMule, Ă©Ă©n van de strafste livebands ooit, en beslissen in 1997 zelfs om samen uit The Allman Brothers te stappen en zich volledig te richten op Gov't Mule.
Op 26 augustus 2000 vind men Woody alléén in een hotelkamer, gestorven aan een overdosis heroïne.

Next listening revealed the more subtle 4/4 5/4 on the opening track. Eventually I'm not sure anymore if there is a track without a tricky signature. How fit to end with Robert Johnson. Gotta love this band, forever #GovtMule
