@Anthro @atthenius If its so bad than those Bronx River dams should be #EPA #Superfund sites. Certainly more bang for the buck can be obtained by sediment removal there than can be obtained in #NewtownCreek or the #Gowanus.

A few days ago, I posted the pic below with a trivia question about what & where it is. It is the skeletal remains of a #neonsign that once read E. J. TRUM on the top and Paper Cartons underneath. Only the first period and the R of TRUM remain. It is located in #RedHook #brooklyn and is visible from the eastbound #Gowanus if you know where to look. Story to follow.

Applications are open for the #Gowanus #rezoning’s “oversight task force”. It could be a rare opportunity to hold the city and developers accountable to the community’s requests in the rezoning agreement. That is, if it works and is actually listened to.
