My friends the wild #gowerponies have come to visit me. These ponies roam freely on #gowerpeninsula and are owned by #commoners who have grazing rights for their animals. Their cows also roam freely.
Each Summer they face the threat of being mowed down by speeding motorists when the tourists hit Gower.
The tourists don't know that if you ask them nicely they will move off the road so that vehicles can pass.

Beautiful shots. I'm 5 mins from Wibbly Wobbly Castle, and feel so very lucky to live this side of the peninsula.

A favourite spot in a corner of my garden to stop, sit down and enjoy a cuppa.

Potential for chaos today as dozens of cyclist hit the narrow winding lanes on #gowerpeninsula practising the route for their #Ironman Competition 2023 on 16th July. I've already witnessed many on the single track across the moorland immediately outside my cottage, along with tractors carrying hay bales, commoner's sheep and cows wandering their natural grazing grounds and frustrated car drivers who get stuck behind them all en route to their destinations. I expect there are many frayed tempers

The Farrier works busily in the stables, Swallows swoop and dive in the yard, two Yorkies lay asleep and snoring in the heat of the day ... siesta time for me after returning from lunching with pal at The West Cross Inn, #gowerpeninsula

In early March we had one heavy downfall of #snow here on #gowerpeninsula , it was enough to demolish my fruit cage and I was taken by surprise by this. So I rebuilt a sturdier fruit cage from 2x2 uprights and 1x2 horizontals: this is what it looks like. Inside I grow Redcurrants, Blackcurrants, Blueberries and Gooseberries. This season a host of Caterpillars has stripped the Gooseberry bush, and has already begun munching through the Redcurrants .... HELP, please help, send advice!

Well my trip to Wales to visit family and friends didn't quite go as planned thanks to a nasty bug 🥵. But I did get this shot of an astonishing #sunset on the #gowerpeninsula. I even stopped the car to stand and stare for a few minutes as it was truly spectacular
