On a motorway overpass, on the edge of Orlando, there was a gathering of around 50 #NeoNazis.

They were members of two #antisemitic, #WhiteNationalist groups - #BloodTribe & the #GoyimDefenseLeague.

Those present, all #male, were dressed in red & black & most had their faces covered.

They gave the #Nazi salute, chanted #antiJewish #slurs & waved #swastika flags at passing motorists.

Richard Shawn Barnish (53) of Glendale, Arizona is an active member of neo-Nazi organization Goyim Defense League. Shawn works with McCarthy Construction as an HVAC technician in the Glendale/Phoenix area where he also distributes neo-Nazi, white supremacist, and anti-LGBTQ+ propaganda.

Shawn is a follower of the deeply anti-LGBTQ+ and antisemitic The New Independent Fundamental Baptist (New IFB) Movement.

Shawn runs the somewhat popular hackfreehvac channel on YouTube.

This weekend, there has been a new rash of GDL ("Goyim Defense League") flyering in north metro Atlanta.

Our website has extensively covered Michael Weaver/Carothers, the most active GDL member in north Georgia (https://atlantaantifa.org/2022/06/18/cartersville-georgia-meet-local-neo-nazi-activist-michael-david-weaver/). A Bremen couple -- Philip Matthew Jacobs & Hilary Akin Jacobs -- were also recently stopped by police during a GDL flyer run (https://twitter.com/afainatl/status/1587910112806576128). And lastly, the head of the WLM network in Georgia, 'Levi" in the Augusta area, is also highly active in GDL and threw flyers in Sandy Springs last year (https://atlantaantifa.org/tag/levi-savage-alias/).

As a group, we obviously don't believe in police solutions, but we understand that many people's response to receiving eliminationist antisemitic threats thrown onto their lawn - an act which is highly invasive - will be to call the police. However, it's important to note that the GDL use this technique precisely because it's not illegal. The police will not help.

We encourage people to do this instead:

1) Post about the flyering on social media, giving dates and general locations, but obscure the GDL websites and propaganda material so you are not inadvertently advertising them. Post anonymously if you are worried about antisemitic retaliation.
2) In Georgia, send in any flyering info to our group at afainatl@riseup.net - this is especially important if you see cars or individuals as they flyer and can give details about them.
3) Talk to your neighbors, support each other, and stand together with your neighbors and communities.
