GPS receivers have come a long way.

Here's a Garmin GPS 76 from 2002, struggling to get a fix with its large internal rolled PCB antenna, seeing 3 GPS satellites. I had to go outside and got a fix after several minutes there.

Next to it my 2021 phone, picking up 9 GPS satellites (and a bunch of Russian ones the Garmin doesn't know about), which took it mere seconds. That's presumably with a ceramic antenna hidden underneath a touchscreen display.

Sur le #FP4, tout est rentré dans l'ordre après lancement de #GPSTest, et (très) longue attente au fond du jardin, loin des bâtiments (dans une vallée encaissée des alpes... ce qui n'aide pas non plus). Je pense effectivement à un pb de durée de conservation d'un cache quelconque suite à la désactivation des options GPS dans #AdvancedPrivacy.
Concernant le #FP3, je pense que ça doit être la même chose, j'attends la confirmation 😉

Mit LOS16 for uG hat vor etwa 6 Monate die Abfrage der Cell-IDs nicht mehr funktioniert und deshalb hat UnifiedNLP nicht mehr funktioniert. Damals habe ich dann uG NLP komplett entfernt.
Um jetzt ein richtiges GPS Fix zu bekommen, lösche ich mit dem #gpstest App die A-GPS Daten. Dann werden, mind. bei meinem #oneplus3t, neue A-GPS Daten über supl Verbindung geholt und mein GPS bekommt in wenigen Sekunden ein Fix.
Funktioniert NLP jetzt wieder?
