Happy Birthday to Grace Towns Hamilton, born in Atlanta #OnThisDay in 1907. Hamilton was executive director of the Atlanta Urban League from 1943 to 1960 and was the first African-American woman elected to the Georgia General Assembly in 1966. From 1985-1987 Hamilton was an advisor to the United States Civil Rights Commission.
