Grafana/OpenTelemetry.Net help needed.

Completely new to Grafana and Open Telemetry.

I need help setting up a Grafana data source for my .Net application.

I cannot find any #Grafana #HomeAssistant Dashboards to use as a jump off point. Are there really none out there? I'd rather not start from scratch.

Looking for temperature and energy graphs mostly.

So. Ich glaub ich hab mein #grafana für mein Haus erstmal soweit durch.

Bilder zeigen Ausschnitte aus dem Hausanschluss und dem #balkonkraftwerk. Im gleichen Stil gibt’s noch die Auswertung der Heizungsanlage (inklusive Holzvergaser) sowie der Wallbox.

C'est bientôt la rentrée et l'école de ma grande commence à lui envoyer des mails... à la mauvaise adresse (mais sur le bon domaine).

En attendant de les prévenir pour corriger, j'ai ajouté un alias avec la coquille qui pointe vers la bonne boîte. Comme quoi, avoir la main sur son serveur et garder un œil sur ses logs, ça peut servir...

We may once again be tasked with scraping/polling data off of a slow scientific "big data" database and into #Timescale for a smoother live plotting experience in #Grafana

You'd think CERN would use a dedicated time series store for monitoring data but no, its HDFS+Spark??

The kind of system that, when you ask people about, will say "Oh no I've managed to avoid worrying about it until now" and "It works if you're patient".

der #Proxmox Plan wurde etwas abgeändert. Nachdem #EVCC und #AdGuard laufen werde ich morgen versuchen #mqtt und #nodered zum laufen zu bekommen.
Danach darf dann EVCC an den MQTT Broker kommunizieren und sobald das läuft installiere ich #influx und #grafana.
#NodeRed wird dann die für mich interessanten Langzeitdaten in die #influxdb übermitterln und in #grafana werde ich dass dann irgendwann auslesen/darstellen

und wenn das alles läuft, dann ist #homeassistant dran

@DeltaWye That is an assortment of test equipment used to automatically calibrate and test sensor cards for the CERN LHC Magnet protection.

The setup includes:
- Analog Switch Matrix to connect test setups as needed
- Precision voltmeter and DC source for linearity measurement
- Low noise battery sources for noise analysis
- Function generators for bandwidth, common mode and THD tests.

The system runs a #opensource #Python library to execute tests, saved to #postgresql and plotted in #grafana

Syötin eilen käsin kuukausittaiset sähkönkulutukset vuosilta 2020–2022 kotiautomaatiosoftaani. Tarkoituksena on, että vuosia voi vertailla keskenään.

Ensimmäinen ponnistus oli saada aikaan Grafanalla tällainen vertailu kuukausikulutuksista. Ei ollut helppo, moni on netissäkin yrittänyt (onnistumatta). Koko aamu minullakin tähän meni. En ole kuitenkaan täysin tyytyväinen lopputulokseen ja saatan tehdä kuvaajat lopulta chartjs:llä. Mutta kuhan kokeilin 🐟

If you are stuck dealing with #CrunchyData or #Bitnami for modern #postgresql in #k8s, let me turn you on to cloudnative-pg.io

TL;DR: An operator and CRDs for managing #psql on #k8s that actually fulfills the promise of the operator pattern. It just, you know, *operates* the stupid thing for you. And its multi-arch.

Amusingly, I found out about it because Crunchydata insists that ARM is super hard and reserved for enterprise customers only. (They've since made contrite noises about walking that back, but no actual movement yet.)

I've been running it for about 15 minutes and so far I am blown away. And weirdly it does not appear to have tried to spy on me! That oversight aside, it comes with full #prometheus support, base alarms, and a VERY nice #grafana dashboard. Handles clustering, failover, scaling, upgrades, all the things.
