If you click the icon, that Hashtag will be followed as if it were a person. Follow several, even many.

Why does English have so many words that can be used for totally different meanings.. Tonight it struck me with “I place something in a place”. In this example place can be an action or a location. #grammer #english

What's with randomly putting a question mark at the end of statements these days? It confuses the hell out of me

e.g. "You should go outside?"

Either write "Should you go outside?" OR "You should go outside". Then I know how to respond.

Is it to make it sound softer; less directive?

If it is, find a different way. All it does is mashup your intention. Stop!
