If you haven't read 'The Moon is Down' by John Steinbeck, you really should. A tiny novel written to encourage resistance against Nazis during WWII. Might even act as a gateway drug to his other wonderful books such as 'East of Eden' and "Grapes of Wrath'.

I was a huge fan when they first came out of Kelowna. Saw them twice back when they were big in Canada. They were nicer back then. I saw them again & one of the brothers was a bit of a snoot(Kevin). The other(Tom) was nice. They did a reunion concert w/54-40 - same lineup as when I saw them in my teens. I got free tix to reunion one because I worked film/media at the time & got lots of free concert tix.

Just read Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath for the first time and it's one of the longest and saddest books I've ever battled through. I guess it was called the Great Depression for a good reason...
