La règle à calcul est l’ancêtre de la #calculatrice , elle a été utilisée jusqu’en dans les années 60 environs, avant que la #calculette électronique ne vienne la remplacer.
Elles ne sont bien sûr plus utilisées de nos jours, et ce chapitre est donc plus pour ta culture, ça ne te servira pas à grand chose pour tes études
Mais au moins tu verras comment on faisait auparavant sans calculatrice.

Mine looks like a variation on the #Graphoplex 620d with added tables on the back and slightly different windows for the trig functions.

Bonus #SlideRule detail:
#Graphoplex decided not to use the standard scale descriptors but came up with their own. This makes this slide rule semi-self-documenting.
B and b are D and C, B² and b² are A and B, B³ is K. L stays L.
a looks like it is a CI scale.

Trig functions are on the back of the slide, by the way. No further shenanigans there.

This French #Graphoplex found its way to the collection. Not sure about the type yet. Needs, again, some research.

It has a date on it, though. The carved scribbles says "13.3.1954 von Mushi" (whoever that 'Mushi' may be)
That date would be March 13, 1954.

Overall state is pretty good, although it has seen quite some use.
