I just learned that can render directly to and I’m oddly excited by this extremely arcane and weird possibility

I created a Kabbalistic Tree of Life diagram using and put the source code up for folks to use. It should be easy to modify for any other kind of labeling or changes!

My roommate came up with the great idea of using to plot out campaigns an maps. Has anybody played with this? Got cool examples?

Hey users, how do you stack two images of different sizes together, so that they are both centered in the frame?

Doesn't look like can render to text. I'm surprised. 🤔

Does anyone have any suggestions for open source software that can crawl a website, and then display it graphically as a hierarchy of pages including any links between the pages?

I'm thinking along the lines of spider to crawl, and maybe to create the diagramme, bit I'm not set on these.

I might be able to write some basic script to do this with plenty of time, but don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone has already done it. Suggestions welcome.

Anybody have a favorite tutorial for how to draw pretty network (graph) diagrams using and

We're building calculation trees that represent the relationships between different fields in the FERC Form 1 (e.g. how hundreds of granular reported values aggregate up to a utility's balance sheet or income streams) based on XBRL metadata (which we've cleaned up significantly) but the default output leaves something to be desired.

Messing about with , as one does.

This shows a four-coloring of the integers of the form \( 2^x3^y \) when there is an edge between any two of a, 2a, 3a, and 4a. A rule that works is \( C(2^x3^y) = x - y \pmod 4 \). We can extend that rule to all integers because those with different odd factors greater than 3 won't have connecting edges.

Is is the only such of this , up to isomorphism? It seems unlikely and yet... there's not a lot of freedom here, everything up to 12 is obviously fixed.

@swaggboi was good for that ~20 yrs ago. I assume it’s still around if you’re after a GUI option. For a text-driven option I suggest , which can generate PNG, PDF, PostScript, graphical text, etc from your text input.

or for with - ask it to create "Mermaid diagram source" or "Graphviz source" for outlines of bullets, paragraphs, etc. GPT-4 works better than 3.5

Render diagrams with mermaid.live/ or dreampuf.github.io/GraphvizOnl - ymmv with complicated diagrams.

Here's someone using Neo4j instead: neo4j.com/developer-blog/chatg

Image shows an example system diagram created by GPT-4 in Graphviz format from human-created bullets describing a system:

Already the 21st release cycle of the year...

As mentioned a few days ago, this time around, there're several major (as in semantic versioning major) updates, some listed below. Most of these are to do with new features, simplifying/streamlining API, more cross-project consistent semantics & naming conventions. Also did quite a bit of work on updating various docs, examples, readme files and adding new examples (snippets & projects). All packages have been updated to use latest ...

Please check out the change logs for details and/or get in touch (e.g. via GH discussions forum or in next stream, details to follow!) if you need any help/guidance...

List of updated packages:
github.com/thi-ng/umbrella/blo

Brief top level overview:

thi.ng/atom - transacted state container updates API

thi.ng/geom - updated logic for splitting/partitioning shapes/groups by arc length

thi.ng/hiccup-canvas - update bg clear/fill

thi.ng/hiccup-svg - updated shape tree conversion & floating point precision handling

thi.ng/pixel - add 90/180/270 degree image rotations

thi.ng/rstream - new constructs, sidechain-related API updates

thi.ng/rstream-dot - simplified API ( export)

thi.ng/rstream-gestures - support for resettable zoom

Hope you find any of this useful! If you want to support my work and help me make it more sustainable, please consider contributing via:
