Today's question for a resilient #Fediverse is whether various different initiatives are willing to collaborate and cross-pollinate, while keeping their independence.

There's great opportunity to increase the cohesion of the #GrassrootsFedi #ActivityPub developer community and creating strong joins:

1. @w3c #SocialCG working on #OpenStandards improvements

2. @fedidevs documenting existing fedi

3. #FEP process on @Codeberg

4. #SocialHub as forum

5. @dansup #FediDB

I mailed @cwebber on their plans wrt to the #ActivityPub Rocks website in the context of having the site be the root portal to drill down into two parallel tracks of #Fediverse evolution, that should be complementary and cross-pollinating.

One being the formal track where #SWICG is involved, and the other which I call the #GrassrootsFedi where different fragmented initiatives may be a bit more tightly connected to increase cohesion and collaboration.

The last bit is internet-wide problem. It really saddens me to witness my elderly parents get completely lost in a wave of mindless #DigitalTransformation.

Think non-commercial fedi has a chance if it continues to be fostered. Non-profit might still mean payment for time and resources at cost price.

For my part I'm hoping for #GrassrootsFedi to keep being relevant at specification level. Proposed some ways to get more cohesion there.
