My desk mate is awesome. We always laugh a lot as we work together and she sends me photos of the office dog when she works in another office.

Today when someone from the Office Services team walked by, she asked him if he had any snacks he could deliver to us. He said he’d look into it then came by a bit later with a bowl of popcorn. 🍿💟

My office closes early before long weekends so I’m now on the SeaBus.

As I was crossing the street from my office to the SkyTrain station, someone in the crosswalk walking towards me reached out to me + I realized it was a former colleague. We both reached out + held hands in the middle of the crosswalk then walked to the other side together to catch up. It was wonderful to see her + we decided we need to meet up for coffee at some point since her office is nearby. 💟

My friends in New Zealand are okay! 💟

I have been waiting to hear from them because they live where the cyclone was. They have been without power for 6 days now. Their cell service was just restored so they just responded to messages I sent.

I had a gift card from Xmas 2019 that I hadn’t used because of the pandemic. I finally used it today for brunch with my friend. 😃

After we said bye, I walked to Costco. On my way to Costco, I stopped to take a pic and as I was composing the shot, I heard someone say “what are you doing?!” I looked up to see a colleague. Too funny.

Some people are better at supporting others with depression. I have a friend who has never suffered from depression but she always knows what to say to me. 💟

We were supposed to talk today but I sent her a text letting her know my depression was bad today and I didn’t feel like talking to anyone.

I met someone after work to give gifts since I didn’t see her over the holidays. She’s my friend’s daughter and has called me Auntie since she was little. She has grown into a wonderful young woman. 💟

Went shopping with a friend at HomeSense near Park Royal Mall in West Vancouver. There were so many dogs in the store. 🐶💟 We both really enjoyed seeing all the dogs. Then we went to Winners in the mall + there were more dogs there too. 🐶💟

We had a good time together. We’ve known each other since we were about 3, so we’ve shopped together a lot over the course of our friendship. 🛍️

Frames I put on hold at Costco. 🤓 When I was submitting claims to my benefit plan last week, I logged into my work email to check something and saw an email from our benefits department letting us know that our vision benefit is *increasing* next year so I’m glad I never got around to getting new glasses.
