Yes, this was always an issue with OC. We've been discussing with them the idea of creating a co-op pocket in the company. But they're not a co-op. They do, however, offer something so far unique. And it's a bit different from Patreon in the accounting and expense services. But my hope would be to see a more co-op friendly platform like #Gratipay offer co-op friendly tools.

#Gratipay under the direction of @chad have really done it... and have adopted a co-operative operating agreement under their LLC.

I'm very pleased they have taken the #platformcoop to the next level - with actual co-operative ownership.

Going to read the operating agreement tomorrow - looking forward to doublechecking it.

@mattcropp @stragu #librapay is a fork of #Gratipay. One reason they don't work for co-ops is they don't (or at least Gratipay doesn't) tell you who your contributors are and there's no open accounting, as in OpenCollective.
