Happy #GratisTuesday everyone.
Today I am incredibly grateful for strong women who not only lead their communities, but are generous and gracious in sharing experiences, insights, humour and stories.
I learn so much when I embrace community, rather than thinking exclusion and 'my old ideas or nothing!' are the only way to live and think. New perspectives help me be a better teacher, mentor, community member and person.
Carly Findlay OAM, disability and facial equality activist is someone I deeply respect, and I learn a lot from her books, talks and interviews. This week I watched Carly in conversation with Imani Barbarin, an African-American artist and disability rights activist. The lively and stimulating conversation includes activism, art and being loud, proud disabled women of colour. This conversation is captioned, and has visual descriptions included.
You can watch the conversation here:

Who are the thought-provoking, important people in your lives who help you learn, rethink and expand your understanding of the world? Who are the loud, proud activists you respect? Let's share together and amplify accounts and voices. Have a great day!

Today is #GratisTuesday and I am grateful for Peter Mallon !
LOOK AT THIS GORGEOUS HOODIE HE GOT ME!! Both Annetta AND #CullyApproved as a birthday present. Even delayed in the post, it's perfect. Thank you! ππΎπ
ID: a woman with white curly hair and a huge grin holds the white strings of a long hoodie featuring a picture of a wolf that looks remarkably like a stonkingly gorgeous Malamute X Shepherd dog they own. Her joy is palpable.
It's #GratisTuesday
Today I am grateful for a gorgeous place to live. Moving to lutruwita / Tasmania was one of the best decisions of my life, we love it here.
Have a gorgeous day everyone.
ID: a late autumn sunset from a garden in northern Tasmania. There is golden light everywhere and for an amateur camera photographer like Annetta this is an amazing image. No filter - but this picture encapsulates the joy of living here.
