The id is an md5 hash of my email address, and although someone could try to reverse it, you could just go to my website and get my email from there.

What I am less comfortable with is that Automattic has access to a list of my accounts. And for that, I don't even need to have a Gravatar. They already get that information when a website checks to see if I have one.

Question about the #avatar federation from #WP

Where is that avatar retrieved from?

#gravatar is a centralized service so it makes no sense at all from the get go in our decentralized community in my opinion. I installed a simple avatar upload addon on the WP-instalation I'm testing to see if or to what extent it fit's my needs or expectations for the fedi.

Autrement je me suis amusé à regarder comment implélenter un système de commentaires propulsé par #ActivityPub sur un blog statique avec des fonctions serverless.

C'est pas excessivement compliqué, ce qu'il est plus par contre, c'est l'interopérabilité entre les différentes plateformes du #fediverse.
