@krusynth i recently rebuilt my website using #GravCMS and realized there’s a distinct lack of #IndieWeb plugins available, though many plugins have excellent #microformat support. I’m contemplating starting a project/projects to add that support.

Tomorrow is Friday and I have a gap in "allocated tasks" (aka slog) so I'm devoting the day to reacquainting myself with git (on windows to make it harder) and learn more about Grav. This will divert my attention from dangerous thoughts about jacking in work altogether and becoming a surf bum.

@raphv On the contrary, I find #Drupal lets beginners build a lot of stuff with, say, the top 20 third party modules and zero code.
But lack of seriously good onboarding keeps scaring many folks away.
No, module/theme dev is not intuitive and requires some digging in. Yes, docs could be better. No, Drupal is probably not the easiest tool for absolute beginners.
Anyhow, that's just my view. Maybe a flat-file, static site generator with web UI like #GravCMS is more what you're looking for?
@yuki2501 You could look into something like #GravCMS (opensource, flat file structure, no DB) which has a GUI and generates a static site you can host for free at Github Pages, Gitlab Pages, Cloudflare Pages, etc.
You would install and run Grav locally, and push the generated site to your git repo, which triggers your site to auto-update.
Are you still on #Drupal 7 and are trying to figure out where to go next? Export your content to #gravcms with this module:

If you're into #php development, I can't recommend enough that you check out #ddev. It's an amazing tool, leveraging docker to build out local development environments. I use it for #Wordpress, #Drupal, and #GravCMS with ease! It even runs on both x86 and ARM.

Can anyone recommend any podcast episodes on #GravCMS? I’m looking to build my first site in it.
@tchambers My friend built my first website for me on WP back in 2008 and it’s still on it today: www.starlifter.tv - Although I am planning on moving it to #GravCMS or a #SSG.
Who else here builds sites in #GravCMS? I’m about to start my first. This is gonna be rad 🤘
Working on a website and thinking about using #gravcms. It looks simple and flexible enough, and it's flat file.
The website is for a tech consultant (where I work), and pretty simple. Though, I'm thinking about adding a blog. I wonder how well that would work.
#TodayILearned that there is a Force SSL function in the #GravCMS admin panel... just as I was getting ready to bite the bullet and start messing with .htaccess files.
