I wrote two new short columns this week. First, is “#Transportation #Poverty: A #GrayRhino Ready to Charge” -

@hannahshouse2 A #grayrhino is the big, dangerous thing coming at you that gives you a choice of how to respond; a reminder of how vulnerable we are to neglecting obvious risks; and a challenge to do better (with a framework and tools). I created it for business, finance, and policy audiences which use it extensively, but readers also apply it to personal issues (to my great surprise and delight).
As I get my bearings here, it's time for a formal #introduction. I am an author, strategic advisor, and recovering #policy wonk who is obsessed with #risk: who takes what kind and why, and how to be smarter when confronting obvious, probable, impactful #grayrhino dangers and opportunities. I've lived in #Chicago since 2014 but you can be forgiven for forgetting I'm not in #NYC anymore. Photo of my best girl Billie just because. #celiac #doglover
