The draft bill aims to "require the Director of the #UnitedStatesFishandWildlifeService to reissue a final rule removing the #GrayWolf from the list of endangered and threatened wildlife under the #EndangeredSpeciesAct of 1973."

Please note that at this stage, the Johnson bill is still in the form of a draft and has not been formally introduced.

A couple more #wolf pics, plus an arctic fox.

When I or visitors walk around the enclosures they'll check people out. They don't usually just make eye contact with people, even though sometimes you can catch it in the picture. If you're doing something different than normal that may catch their attention, for instance I was walking the perimeter of one enclosure to check for damage, and the four wolves in there (at the time) followed me most of the way out of curiosity. The food cart of course also gets their attention.

The foxes do seem a little more willing to look directly at you, interestingly, but they are more comfortable with staff (people they see regularly).
