@Iragersh This conversation reminds me of the importance of protecting riparian vegetation from #grazers. We can see that in the incredible story of how the reintroduction of #wolves to #Yellowstone had the cascading effect of increasing the #beaver population, who then increased #habitat and #biodiversity for other #wildlife.

Anyway, it may be that the beavers in your area have another food source and don't need the saplings.

Today, willows and other plants are becoming re-established, old gullies are starting to heal, #beaver are returning, water tables are rising and better #habitat conditions are being created for a multitude of #wildlife ranging from insects to trout and from #birds to pronghorn antelope.
