It was a pretty good match overall. Loved watching these young lads compete. There's lots of room for them to grow, but you can definitely see potential from some of these players.

It's official!

#GreaterSudbury will be joining #League2Ontario (#L2O) starting 2024.

Sudbury Cyclones will be playing at The James Jerome Sports Complex and competing in the first-ever race for promotion to #L1OChampionship .

Read a great article this morning about a couple of sports bars in the USA that ONLY show Women's Sports.

If one of these opened up here, I'd be a regular.

As a #soccer fan, I'm always looking to see where our limited local talent (#GreaterSudbury) ends up. Currently, we've several professional female players, including Lacasse & Hellstrom. I'd watch their matches from Portugal & France any day.

Hellstrom and Lacasse are both from #GreaterSudbury and on the bench at kick-off, but it's just a matter of time before one or both get subbed on.

Currently, Canada is 3rd in the group, but a win tonight could propel them over Brazil.

Hopefully, the team will have their heads in the game tonight, and we can get an idea where the goals are going to come from in the near future, post-Sinclair era.

With Helstrom on at the half and Lacasse on around the 57', that puts two #GreaterSudbury players on the field for #CanWNT.

There's still a lot of the match yet to go, and the Canadians are looking at little better this half. Still not quite at the level of the #USWNT, but better than the 1st half.

Just heard back from the President of the Sudbury Regional Competitive Soccer League (#SRCSL) regarding a handful of questions I had about the upcoming 2023 season.

In case there are any others from #GreaterSudbury interested in the responses:

Inexperienced players are welcome.

If you need a team, just let the president know, and they will shop you around.

Registration happens in April, and while the rate isn't set yet, best to budget $200.
