1. Strengthening = 'gaiola pombalina' implemented in Lisboa by then premier Marquess of Pombal (hence pombalina) on rebuilding downtown Lisboa (the 'Baixa') after the Great Earthquake in 1755 according to seismic prevention risks, an absolute revolucionary urban planning approach that inspired many city planners abroad. Sadly, in spite of legal city council dispositions, no real surveillance is in place to ensure they're respected.
