In 1914 Beatrice Blore Browne became 1st woman to drive a car (a 10 horse power Singer Ten) up #GreatOrme #Llandudno #NorthWales (with a gradient of 1 in 3), She was 6 months pregnant at the time. Her gravestone commemorates the feat. b #OTD 26 Dec 1886

A wide pano over to Wales from Thurstaston Hill taken in June this year. The view stretches from the Great Orme (Y Gogarth) on the left to Rhyl Flats windfarm (I think) on the right with the Point Of Ayr Lighthouse centre.
Anglesey is faintly visible to the right of the Orme and also behind the wind turbines.
