Silver darlings Time & Tide Museum #GreatYarmouth 9/9

Oh well, another post. Potters offer a weekend break, midweek, or a full week. On the interlull days there are no activities so we usually hang around the pool, or beach (did I mention they have a private beach?) or visit the Pleasure Beach or Circus at #GreatYarmouth.
Still have lunch, preselected. So we're sitting with a young family we've met before, also one of the few staying over for the full week.

So many cats for #caturday in the Time & Tide Museum in #GreatYarmouth #Norfolk Unsurprising as it used to be a smokehouse for herring.

Amazing to watch the installation of this bridge in my former home-town of Great Yarmouth. It should have been built 40-years ago and certainly before the outer harbour was added. It should lead to the revival of the docks and the town. 👷‍♀️🌉

There are some very interesting ones there, including ones from sailing museums that are long gone. Like these - the #MaritimeMuseum at #GreatYarmouth - apparently this was on Marine Parade? - and #Exeter #MaritimeMuseum which opened in 1969 with one man's collection.Anyone remember these ?

Een bom uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog is vrijdag onverwachts ontploft tijdens de ontmanteling in het Engelse Great Yarmouth. Niemand raakte daarbij gewond. Rond het explosief was een veiligheidszone van 400 meter ingesteld.

Things have not gone to plan in the disposal of a #WW2 bomb found in #GreatYarmouth #Norfolk. All personnel apparently accounted for, thankfully.

Edit: and of course it occurs to me that all personnel accounted for just means noone is missing, not that everyone is ok.

Zu fordern, dass solche Unternehmen ihr Treiben erst gar nicht aufnehmen dürfen, wäre natürlich völliger Wahnsinn in einem System, in dem du nicht einmal in der Lage bist, irgendwem die Schuld für 21 tote Menschen bei einer #LoveParade nachzuweisen.
