Do you mean John Palmer's 2009 book? (He wrote the SEP article.) I think it's had a very favorable reception.
If you want something that looks at the poetry and the Greek, I'm still partial to my advisor's book: Alex Mourelatos, The Route of Parmenides. And Matt Evans' book will be great when it comes out.

I started an account at BlueSky because so many other academic #philosophers had signed up, but there is even less activity than here.
I'm especially interested in #GreekPhilosophy but also #philosophyofmind and #metaphysics.
Any others out there?

The Last Days of Socrates is a modern-day title for the collection of four Socratic dialogues by the Greek philosopher Plato – the Euthyphro, Apology, Crito, and Phaedo – telling the story of the trial, imprisonment, and death of Socrates and presenting Plato's vision of the ideal philosopher and a life lived in pursuit of ultimate truth. https://www.worldhistory.org/article/825/platos-greater-better-world-in-the-last-days-of-so/ #History #GreekPhilosophy #Philosophy #Plato

What I am writing is modern greek thought. Greek thought didn’t end with Aristotles or Plato. Greek thought is ongoing. It is not encased in time. It is not immovable. It is not ancient. It is here among us in the present now and deserves to be celebrated and heard.
We should not be afraid to argue with our ancestors. If we go around acting as if they filled our cups, then we will not learn and grow as people.
We are not frozen in time. We are the here and now. We are in the ever present and the endless potential future.
