Tomorrow, I will talk with a CA Green Business Certification coordinator. (Did I mention I'm starting a no-gas landscaping business?) We'll talk about the certification review and all that jazz.

I dislike talking. It's very difficult. If I try to make eye contact, the conversation will be disastrous.

Small firms are often overlooked – but collectively they have a BIG impact on communities and climate.

Salisbury Transition City wanted to support local businesses - who often want to cut their environmental impact, but have fewer staff and less time to research what to do.

They partnered with local business networks to form a Green Business Association, produced a useful toolkit, gave tailored advice and set up an local award scheme, celebrating the steps already being taken.

They think its a model that could work elsewhere, and help other Transition groups to collaborate with businesses in their community.
