I've just learned a new term for a type of greenwashing: "greencrowding".
It's when multiple corporations get together under the banner of some vaguely pro-environment initiative. The idea is that you can hide in the crowd and not be held to account for your individual actions.
And it sounds like the Alliance to End Plastic Waste is the perfect example:
