We've seen hundreds of pictures of a #GreenComet over the last few weeks - how about a #GreenLake for #ThrowbackThursday?
This is Green Lakes State Park in #UpstateNY near #Syracuse from 2014.
It's one of the few #meromictic lakes in the US (one in which the water layers do not mix), because of the relative depth (195 feet) compared to area, and mineral inflows which give the lake it's green color and make the water very clear (and contribute to the reef seen in this image).
