Taking the #GreenLineExtension for the first time! #mbta

Riding the Medford branch of the #GreenLineExtension for the first time. Can confirm that it does, indeed, extend the Green Line.

I survived 3+ yrs of heavy construction happening 18 ft from my home, often 24/7 for months at a time, with endless shrill beeping of anything that moved, weekend pile-driving, generators rumbling round the clock, a torturous "gravel vacuum," and vapor lights blasting the light of 100 suns thru my shades into the wee hours... And all I got was this lousy view.

I'm getting excited about the Green Line opening next week, and am celebrating by trying to visit a new small business by each of the stations. Any recommendations for shops, cafes, or restaurants near the stops? #greenlineextension #glx #mbta

Excited about the #MBTA #GLX #MedfordBranch opening in a few weeks. I wonder what will be faster:

Davis Sq -> Red Line -> Silver Line -> Airport Terminals

or

Magoun Sq -> Green Line -> Blue Line -> Airport Shuttle -> Terminals

On paper the latter seems longer, but I wonder if the Silver line being stuck in traffic going into the tunnel will actually make the new option better
