Federal judge #DavidEzra ruled Wed. that #Texas must remove border buoys placed along #RioGrande by Friday, Sept 15. The judge additionally barred Texas & Governor #GregAbbott from putting up any new blockades.

In his order, the judge wrote, “The Court also find Texas's conduct irreparably harms the #PublicSafety, navigation, & operations of federal agency officials in & around the Rio Grande….The balance of the equities and #PublicInterest each favor an injunction.”

A federal judge ordered Gov #GregAbbott on Wed to move a barrier of floating buoys in the #RioGrande that was placed by the state of #Texas to discourage illegal crossings from #Mexico, concluding it was an impediment to navigation on the river & a “THREAT TO HUMAN LIFE.”

Judge David Ezra of the U.S. District Court in #Austin ordered the state to move the roughly 1,000-foot barrier to the U.S. banks of the river as quickly as possible while the legal case proceeded.

@PandaChronicle @Tengrain It's getting to the point of Cold War Europe, where those behind the Iron Curtain (aka, the Bible Belt, TX, and the rest of the fascist Red states) will be finding it harder to cross state borders into the Blue states without being accused of a crime that would prevent their return. I think the sociopathic governor of TX, #gregabbott, might not be above punishing parents of those who leave, just like the USSR.
