No sé si es su mejor interpretación. Que difícil decirlo en un irrepetible actor como él.
Lo que si es innegable es su camaleónica capacidad para convertir un tierno padre en un abogado ejemplar.
Ganó un Oscar en 1963 por su interpretación pero sólo representó una mínima muestra al lado del recuerdo que esta película deja entre quienes lo admiramos.

Duel in the Sun was David O. Selznick’s 1946 attempt to do a western in the Gone With the Wind style, an epic western.

There’s plenty of material for melodrama here and it’s melodrama we get, in a gloriously overheated style.

It's a sex melodrama and it ran into huge censorship problems which weakened the movie.

But it's better than its reputation would suggest. I liked it.
