Say what you want about the #polycrisis, at least no one is talking #grexit & the #eurocrisis anymore 🤷♀️

One of my colleagues in a large physics department tells me that fewer than 10% (!) of applicants to their Ph.D. program submitted a GRE Subject score.
It seems, for better or worse, that #GRExit has won - a long-standing cornerstone of graduate applications is on its way out...
Is there any good writing/analysis on #GRExit coming from non-elite institutions where, for example, a substantial portion of applicants submit GRE scores in the 40th, 30th, 20th, and even 10th percentiles (with little quantitative coursework on their transcripts)?

There has been lots of chatter about #GRExit lately and whether or not programs should require the GRE. Our department is trying to figure out our GRE policy, so I compiled the requirements in psychology for the 65 Association of American Universities.
Like it or not, the writing is on the wall..
