My first service dog and , . 130 lb . Knew 5 languages, would obey hand commands ( ) at 300 yards. Was 25% . Passed away on 13 Sept 2017 at 10 yrs old from cancer. She’s greatly missed. This morning’s memory is of her hoarding all the bones & hiding them from the rest of the pack in her “secret” place. She’d a cubby area where she took care of all her things. â™„ïžđŸ˜‚ I was blessed beyond explanation to have been her friend/partner.

I am still working my way through Europe’s Wildlife Comeback report (rewildingeurope.com/news/europ), but this map of current population changes in Europe is very inspiring. Some of this has happened by accident (land use changes), but dedicated conservation efforts have ensured the populations are viable.

"Wow, a human! Haven't seen one of those in a while!"

Again the characters I created with my brother. Humphrey from the previous picture and Nikita the wolf. Humphrey has his mouth open because he still is kind of afraid, so it's not really a smile, rather a sign of submission.

The wolf is finished! I took a break from making him and only fully painted him today. Pictures taken just before he was sent off to my aunt as a gift.

I don't know if you can notice, but I added the third and final layer to the right side of the wolf's body. I've discovered that unless you blob your acrylics onto something, you have to work in layers to make it fully opaque. I wonder whether or not that's just an issue with my materials đŸ€”

On a lighter note, here's another one of the projects I keep going back and forth between. Working on this wolf sculpture is a lengthy and pretty frustrating process, but it's nice to see him coming together. I still need to paint his neck, belly and other side. 3 layers for each. Wish me patience...
