No fair weather walkers here but the best part of todays walk was definitely the getting home, warm and dry. Cumbrian weather at its best with biblical rain and hail. Could have been such a different walk if I’d only worn my waterproof trousers though…

Time was I stood as though dost now,

Fairly typical of a Yorkshire outlook on life. And death 😀 We have a fair few like it

#introduction I work in #AppliedMicro, specially on #crime, #urban, #labour/#labor, #health and #education, usually with some #CausalInference angle. I’m a professor at Newcastle University (it’s #GrimUpNorth as you can see below…) where I’m also currently deputy head of the economics group.
