If I didn't know better, I would think this was a Velvet Underground cover. Nick Cave is one of those artists that exists on the cusp of what I like. I don't consider myself a fan, but there are many tracks that are up on my top shelf of favorites. And this is one of them.

This live studio performance of "Palaces of Montezuma" is from the 2010 album "Grinderman 2", where #Grinderman was sort of like Cave's Tin Machine, but folks actually liked it.
