What's with websites where it's a known issue that signing up is hard? Bang my head against it for a while, give up and call their phone line, and realize there's no way I could've ever figured it out on my own. Today's gem included "Now close your browser completely and delete all your cookies. Then restart and log back in. Otherwise your account won't link properly." I totally appreciate the super helpful agent on the line, but geez, that is not something one should expect a customer to have to do (or an agent to have to explain to every potential customer)

I'm reading a book written from the third person omniscient PoV. It's a great book, but there are 3 writing styles I don't care for: 1. first person (dodged that), and 2. present tense (this is past tense), 3. omniscient (doh!). I find it just so ... It just takes me out of the story a bit. Also, it is really hard to do well though this author is skilled enough to make it only mildly annoying.

Just my .

I need to be in a focus group assessing ease-of-use packaging. Too many products today are impossible to open as instructed.

Ten minutes messing around in other people's contracts and I'm keenly aware of how hard it is to manipulate a word document without a mouse. I find this especially irritating because I'm still technically editing a text document.
