This episode would cover how it got in through some panafrican and anti colonialist writers, and created a vulnerability that ended up allowing for economic and religious neo colonialism. We couldn't find instant buttered #grits in the store anymore, so we got the more traditional style. I don't think we can go back. These were only slightly more work, and the difference was eye-opening. I think the biggest difference is being able to use real butter.

Southern #FriedChicken with #CornPudding — the #chicken is soaked in homemade plain #yogurt and whey, then double dredged with poultry seasoning and flour before being deep fried in a cast iron pan.
The #corn pudding includes condensed milk, chicken broth, onion, eggs, #grits, and a touch of sugar. It’s set in a pie dish and baked. Archival from 21 January 2022.
