The developers were cheapskates & installed a gas boiler for the #CentralHeating & a gas hob for cooking. I've installed #solar panels & batteries but I'm paid less per kWh of electricity exported than I pay per kWh of gas imported. Most new properties in my area are not on the gas main & have a #GroundSourceHeatPump installed from new. Without a #GovernmentScheme a #HeatPump conversion is unaffordable to me. #UK is maddening.

Amazing opportunity to see the sustainability innovations at Plymouth Marjon University. As well as extensive solar arrays, the university has the one of the largest non-domestic heat pump installations in Europe (biggest in UK I think) - for a small university this is incredible! #Sustainability #Solar #GroundSourceHeatPump #HigherEd #EnergySaving #Climate
